In August 2024, I unexpectedly lost my brother. Traveling from Massachusetts to Indiana, I arrived to find two hungry cats—and absolutely no idea where to begin.

In that first week, I cleared out his two-bedroom apartment, located the leasing agent, found a lawyer (the hardest part!), and identified his utilities, bank accounts, and employer contacts. What I thought would take a few days became a year-long process of paperwork, travel, and learning—often the hard way—how to close an estate.

It was an emotional and exhausting experience, but it opened my eyes to how many people face this same situation—suddenly, and without a clear path forward.

The silver lining is that every challenge became a lesson, and those lessons inspired A-Z Estate Services, LLC.

My name is Chris-anna Thompson, and I created this business to help others navigate what I had to figure out alone: how to manage the many moving parts that come with a loved one’s passing. From property and belongings to paperwork and professional coordination, I’m here to make the process more organized, more manageable, and most importantly—handled with compassion.
